Work with pictures

With Application Wizard you can preview pictures, view the metadata associated with image files, and display pictures as slideshows. In addition to that, Application Wizard lets you browse your Aperture or iPhoto library, copy images to the Clipboard, and change your desktop picture.

Preview a picture

Select the picture in the Special menu.

View the metadata associated with a picture

Select the picture in the Special menu and display the More Info submenu.

Change the size of picture previews

Open the Application Wizard pane in System Preferences and click Menus. Click the Customize Previews button and drag the Pictures slider.

View the pictures in a folder or smart folder as a slideshow

Display the Special menu, select any of the pictures in the folder and choose Slideshow.

Copy a picture to the Clipboard

Select the picture in the Special menu, display the Copy submenu, and choose a size from the Image submenu.

To rotate the picture, hold down the Control (clockwise rotation) or Option (counter clockwise rotation).

To copy the picture’s file, choose File from the Copy submenu.

Change your desktop picture

Select the picture in the Special menu and choose Set Desktop Picture.

Open Aperture

After having added the ”Aperture Library” item to the Special menu, choose Aperture Library from the Special menu.

Browse your Aperture library

After having added the ”Aperture Library” item to the Special menu, display the Special menu and browse the Aperture Library submenu.

Open iPhoto

After having added the ”iPhoto Library” item to the Special menu, choose iPhoto Library from the Special menu.

Browse your iPhoto library

After having added the ”iPhoto Library” item to the Special menu, display the Special menu and browse the iPhoto Library submenu.
